Grounds Maintenance
Fairways is a specialist grounds maintenance business, with extensive experience of managing and maintaining educational, commercial and residential environments. We offer a complete maintenance service delivered by qualified staff. Services include:
Gang Mowing – Grass cutting of large area including parks, sports pitches, large gardens and public open space using either a tractor with a trailed gang mower or with a ride on mower. Grass cuttings can be collected if required.
Box Mowing, Strimming and Edging – Grass cutting of smaller areas using pedestrian cylinder or rotary mowers. Grass cuttings can be collected if required.
Hedge Cutting – Large hedges can be cut with a tractor and flail and all hedges can be cut using hand-held hedge cutters.
Shrub Bed Maintenance – Flowers and shrubs are maintained as required to include pruning, dead-wooding, forking over, fertilising and leaf removal.
Weed Control – Weeds are either chemically treated with an approved herbicide by our qualified staff, hand-pulled, hoed or strimmed.
Leaf Collecting – Leaves are collected and either composted on site or removed to our yard for composting.
Sports Pitch Marking – All aspects of sports pitch maintenance and marking are catered for (See Sports Pitch Marking)
Tree Work – All aspects of tree work are undertaken (See Arboricultural Services)
Specialist Lawn Care – Fertilising, scarifying, weed-treatment, moss treatment, aeration, and drainage solutions are all offered.

The landscape is a valuable asset requiring as much attention as the buildings within. Fairways provides landscape maintenance for some of the UK’s most prestigious businesses including Jaguar Landrover, BAM, Bouygues, West Midlands Police and the National Trust.
Educational
Fairways maintain the grounds of many schools and colleges throughout the Midlands and our staff realise the importance of ensuring the highest standards of health and safety, especially when working in a school environment where children have no duty of care to themselves. A well-presented exterior coupled with excellent sporting facilities attract students and encourage them to achieve their full potential. Whether you have traditional grass pitches, artificial pitches or a combination of both Fairways will ensure they are maintained to the highest standard at all times. All staff are DBS checked, wear an identifiable uniform and carry identification cards with them. They sign in and out upon arrival and departure and leave a record of work undertaken on site after each visit. Dates for open days, sports days and other particularly important events are requested so that we can organise visits shortly before so that the grounds are looking their best. Dates for examinations are also requested so that we can work around them without causing a disturbance.

Sports
Fairways maintain the grounds of numerous sports clubs including rugby, football, cricket and bowls. With clients including the Tally Ho Club in Edgbaston and Birmingham Solihull Rugby Club we work with the members to ensure that the facilities are continuously improving, well-presented and maintained.
Public Open Spaces
Fairways maintain the open spaces of Councils and Parish Councils including parks, woodlands, village greens, war memorials and highway verges.
